Philadelphia – July, 2022

Your many faithful prayers were answered.  From June 30 to July 9, 2022, Twelve men (6 from Memphis, 1 from FL, 2 from NJ, 2 from North Carolina, and 1 From PA) and many who assisted them were able to reach tens of thousands with the good news of the gospel.  The people of greater Philadelphia were remarkably receptive to receive gospel tracts and have spiritual conversations regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We know of a number who prayed to receive Christ and many, many who said they would read the materials we distributed.  We visited Philadelphia nearly every day – but also distributed tracts in Lansdale, Doylestown, Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown, Reading, Pottstown, King of Prussia and other cities and towns in Pennsylvania.  We also had some outreach near Camden, Cherry Hill, and Trenton, NJ.  Our early assessment indicates we distributed over 55,000 gospel tracts.

The fellowship among the brothers was extraordinary.  We worked well together, deferred to one another, encouraged one another, prayed together, shared the scriptures, and served one another in a manner that can only be explained by the Lord’s grace and presence.

We spent Sunday morning with the saints at the South Jersey Christian Fellowship.  What a joy to share the Lord’s Table together, worship, hear the Word of God, and conclude with a meal and fellowship.  The saints were most helpful on so many levels with prayers, encouragement, and helping to assist us in folding a huge number of tracts that needed to be prepared for the outreach.

Truly it is impossible to overstate how graciously the Lord answered the prayers of His people.

May Jesus Christ get all the glory and may many who heard and received the message respond – to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

It is likely a more detailed update may be sent out soon.

Please continue to pray that the word of the Lord would run swiftly and be glorified in those who are reading the tracts and remembering the conversations we had.

Greater Washington, DC – March, 2022

Thank you for your prayers about the recent evangelistic outreach to greater Washington, DC from March 24 – April 2, 2022.  At least 26 individuals from 7 states participated directly in the outreach.  Hundreds were praying – we know this made a HUGE difference.

Geographically, we covered the following cities and towns:

West Virginia:  Charles Town, Martinsburg

Maryland: Hagerstown, Frederick, Brunswick, Gaithersburg, Potomac, Silver Spring, Baltimore

Virginia: Lovettsville, Leesburg, Reston, Fairfax, Arlington, Tysons, Chantilly, Alexandria, and more

Washington, DC: Downtown, the Mall, Georgetown

Specific emphasis for the outreach focused upon: Loudon County, VA, Fairfax County, VA, Arlington County, VA, Prince William County, VA, Montgomery County, MD, Prince George’s County MD, and DC itself.

We visited town centers, grocery stores, airports, malls, cultural events, NBA games, NHL games, shopping centers, colleges, businesses, government complexes, and more.

The Lord’s presence, encouragement, and counsel was very clear among us.   By His grace we distributed around 100,000 gospel tracts and gospels of John.  There were numerous one-on-one conversations, some conversions to Christ, and many encouragements that scores of encounters were clearly divine appointments.  Thanks to your prayers, there was little opposition and only significant difficulty on one 1/2 day.  The brothers who went were personally very encouraged – once again – as channels of living water opened up in an extraordinary way.  There were good times of fellowship, prayer, exhortations, meals, and more.

We expect to undertake some additional trips this year.  These could include:

  • A trip to Britain and France (this continues to be postponed – perhaps to the fall)
  • Possible excursion to greater Philadelphia
  • Possible excursion to the Pacific Northwest
  • Shorter excursions for 3 to 5 days to cities closer to our hub in Memphis
  • Also on the horizon are possible trips to greater Detroit, Greater Chicago, Greater Cleveland & Columbus, Central & Western NY, Central & Western PA, Minneapolis, main cities on various interstate routes.

In the meantime we take no thought for tomorrow for today has enough trouble [and glorious opportunity] for itself.

Each of these trips have been educational on many levels.  First, is the need for fellowship with the Lord and with each other, steadfast prayer together, encouragement in the Word and in worship, learning to know the Spirit’s leading, and a fervent desire to be a disciple and see others become disciples beginning with their new birth.

Here are some of the testimonies of those who have been on a gospel excursion:

  • The Lord’s anointing was upon us to proclaim the Gospel
  • There was a palpable provision of joy, peace, and boldness
  • I found myself almost constantly having a song to the Lord – dozens came to my heart and many of these came through my lips throughout the trip (it truly qualified as a joyful noise!)
  • There was almost always clarity on what to do next, there was no stress or anxiety regarding the plans
  • There was supernatural unity and humility among the team
  • There was great flexibility to change directions – something that occurred every day
  • There was nearly always a surprisingly positive receptiveness on the part of those we encountered
  • We were able to stay focused throughout the trip
  • There were many, many Divine Appointments – especially one on one encounters
  • The Lord gave us all a sense of humor throughout the trip
  • There was a real sense of our delivering good news to multitudes who were lost
  • There was a remarkable sense of freedom to share Christ in nearly every situation (every restaurant, rest stop, gas station, grocery store, hotel, etc.)
  • We had supernatural strength that carried us through what was a fatiguing schedule
  • We had great personal fellowship with each other
  • Our health held up
  • Each of us typically walked 5 to 8 miles per day or more, slept well, and got up energized and encouraged to do it again.
  • There was an overwhelming sense that we truly were sharing GOOD NEWS!
  • Clearly God answered the prayers of many dear brothers and sisters in Christ!
