“So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.” Mark 16:19-20
Proactively sharing our faith in the Lord Jesus opens springs of life in us and through us. It is like the Sea of Galilee – receiving life from the springs of the Jordan and pouring out life to the valley below. The converse is the Dead Sea – always taking in, never giving out.
Watchman Nee said, if a believer does not learn to share the gospel early in their Christian life, they are likely to go their entire life without sharing the good news.
Jesus put it another way, “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:7
MORE JOY IN HEAVEN!
Do you feel ill-equipped to join a gospel excursion? Everyone who has joined one said they were not ready. Yet, everyone experienced the reality of more joy in heaven by going, proclaiming, and obeying.
Some focus mostly on tract or gospel distribution, others spend more time talking with people, some focus more on prayer and practical assistance, some use their musical skills, all help build up one another and help win souls for the kingdom of God.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
